If you’re reading this, chances are you just bought a laptop with an ELAN Smart-Pad touchpad, and for your surprise you find that the right-click context menu doesn’t work as you would expect.
Also, you may notice a weirdly fast vertical scrolling on some windows except on web browsers, and the horizontal scroll not working either.
For some stupid reason, the ELAN software comes with these features off from factory, and the application user interface does not show the option to turn them on. God knows why.
Fortunately, there is a fix for it and is quite simple: just a couple of entries changes in the Windows registry, and that’s it.

2. Change the following entries to value 1:
3. Turn off and on your touchpad or log off and log on back to windows
Hope you enjoy your touchpad working the way it was supposed to work from the factory!
